Did we get a flood of people when Parler went down or do the mass of them not understand technology as much as is seems? I figure it has been long enough for people to replatform at this point.

Well, in this instance, by "here" I meant the Pump.io network.
That's mastodon/pleroma madness. If they manage to figure out pump.io I would be highly surprised. They would be in for quite a few shocks.
We must not underestimate fascists abilities. They have years of organization and preparation behind since the dawn of the nazi and fascist parties. They also have scientists, technical people and thinkers highly skilled. The mass may be idiotic, fascist or not, but leaders are not.
I don't mean they'll show in Pump.io network... unless they find it suitable for their purposes.
I haven't really followed the Activity Pub situation, but I would anticipate at some point some number of the networks being able to speak to one another
