After I masturbate there is this moment when I feel a bit down, not like guilty or anything, but like "This had no sense at all". Those moments I like to cheer up myself by thinking about the famous philosopher Diogenes, the Cynic who lived in the barrel, who used to masturbate in public and comment afterwards:
'If only it were so easy to soothe hunger by rubbing an empty belly'. I also think about Lucretius' De Rerum Natura where he says:
"But it behooves to flee those images;
And scare afar whatever feeds thy love;
And turn elsewhere thy mind;
and vent the sperm, Within thee gathered, into sundry bodies"
And I soon feel better :)
