@jxself@datamost.com I've been a member of the FSF for over a decade, and a user of GNU/Linux longer than that. I am in agreement with our mission. I'm not sure we are at the forefront of the changing tech world. There is good news in that more devices run GNU/Linux in 2023 than any time in history, and the FSF has more dues paying members now than ever, but that alone I'm not certain is the same as closing at the forefront of that change. When New tech is discussed in the public square users' liberty is not generally part of the discussion. Even when free software solutions are promoted, outside our little community, its on the merits if verifyability of security or the cost and maintain long term versus non-free solutions dependent on licensing fees and ever changing EULAs. I consider myself a GNU evangelist and even I have never actually exercised the freedom to access the source code of a program I have used and modified it solely for the perpouse of making my installation work the way I prepare
