just to be clear, i wasn't diagnosed with alzheimer's - it was my father getting the bad news. i've just spent the last two months "looking after him", although he's still capable of doing lots of things! from a PHD in bio-chemistry to having difficulties remember what city he's currently in. so so tragic.
