Apologies for the potential weird formatting. I copied this from facebook and lost my paragraphs. I put some of them back in though.

I feel like there may be some of you lurking out there that may be some sort of endurance athlete.

I'm in a bit of a quandary. My plan had been to do the 100k step challenge (~45 miles) Oct 20. I was planning to do the last big training run/hike next weekend, Oct 6. There's a 10k that day that I am running.

Unfortunately, I have some mild knee pain. It's not bad enough to make me not run the 10k, but I have my doubts about success on Oct 20 without another long hike. We're talking 6.2 vs 15.7 miles. If I don't do the 100k step challenge, then I can just bike to the 10k.

I could just take some time off and see how I feel closer to the time, but I was hoping to cut some weight before Oct 20.The 100k step challenge takes to long to fail a second time. How many steps is the temperature worth? I got to 68k when it was 84F. I could have done more, but how much more I don't know.I've swam twice this week and as of right now plan on swimming Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. My week trial at Lifetime is up then. Maybe I'll bail on swimming if I don't do the 100k? It takes a while to get down to the gym, shower before getting in the pool, deal with the locker, etc. We have a gym upstairs. I have a bike, and we have tons of trails (although to get the same workout swimming may be more efficient even with the extra time).

I made what turned out to be a poor decision about swimming timing. I can correct that on Thursday, so maybe wait until Thursday at least to make a decision?I can always push the 100k challenge back into the spring or just move it back to Oct 27 and do the training hike on Oct 13. I want to keep some weather days in there and at some point it'll be too cold to make it worthwhile. I'm not sure when that date is.

Anyway, I have a ton to do, so I guess I should get to it...
