Any #Cassandra admins out there? I just want cqlsh to connect. Seems like it should be simple.
figured out Cassandra, but my jconsole issue remains.
The issue with jconsole is that it does not work when forwarding X sessions to my work-provided Mac. I can't get to the server from a home machine, so idk. I could, in theory, set up a VM. I could also try a different X provider other than XQuartz.
I also have access to a work Windows machine. I haven't tried it.
I guess I will need to spin up another VM in ovirt, so I could forward ssh sessions within ovirt on Linux and see if it is a Mac-specific issue.
I am happy for any recommendations
Sorry I can't help. I quit IT some time ago, but I still get personal satisfaction when I have to face some computing problem and I manage to solve it.

not really, but I have VNC access to the new ovirt VM I built, so that will work for now
