Of course, #Jamendo doesn't give city information any more anyway, so it's useless for my current purposes anyway.

city info for what? gigs?

if it's only where the user listening to something is I don't understand why that would be so important

for the musicians. For example, https://thephosphenes.bandcamp.com/ has Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is not ideal for anyone outside the USA unless you happen to know all 50 states, but still better than the nearly completely useless "USA" that Jamendo gives. Jamendo previous did things like "Madison, USA" which is borderline useless since there are 24 Madison's in the USA, but statistically, most of those are going to be in Madison. Also, fun fact, there are two Madison's in both Wisconsin in New York. At least the one's in Wisconsin are basically the same place. I think it's different for tax purposes, but I don't believe I ever encountered any actual difference living there for 3 years...and being back several times since (most recently in August for a wedding).

I do A&R work for blocSonic, so if I am going to travel, I will meet with prospects. Of course, we can always ask, but it's easier to say "hey, I'm coming to your city."

Although, I should make it clear that bandcamp does not require this information: https://magmawaves.bandcamp.com/

I now notice that band decided to put it in their tags for some reason. Of course, a Jamendo artist could put it in their Bio, but why make it hard for bands?
